Bank Holiday Steam

 
Steam trains will be running on both Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday. First train on both days will depart Ruddington at 11.00am. Last train at 4.00pm. The miniature and model railways will be in full operation. Motive power will be the visiting Peckett 2000.
 

Farewell to the Peckett.

 
The weekend of 10th & 11th of May sees the last running of Peckett 2000 before it returns to Barrow Hill.
 
On Saturday there will be Peckett hauled trains to Loughborough Junction at 11.30, 13.30 and 15.30. Fares are Adult £7.50, Children £4.00. This could be possibly the only time steam hauled trains travel the whole length of the line to Loughborough Junction this year.
On Sunday there will be Peckett hauled trains to Rushcliffe Halt starting at 11.00am and the last train will be at 4.00pm. Normal fares apply.

 

2008 SPRING SEASON

 

Trains will be running Easter Sunday (March 23rd) and Easter Monday then every
Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday on the 8 mile round trip to Rushcliffe Halt on
the Great Central main line once used by the express trains from Nottingham
Victoria to London Marylebone, on certain days Diesel Hauled trains run the 9
miles to Loughborough Junction.

 

The motive power for the early part of 2008 will be visiting locomotive Peckett 0-6-0ST No. 2000.

 


The centre is open from 10:45 until 5:00 every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday
through to October with Santa Specials in December.
The centre is completely run and managed by volunteers and you are welcome to
come along any Saturday to enquire about helping, there are vacancies on all
parts of the railway.


 Admission prices (including train ride) are: - Adults £6.50 Children £3.50.


The Heritage Centre is signposted off the A60 Nottingham to Loughborough Road in
Ruddington just south of the traffic lights.
